During the year Wolseley Treasury (USD) was transferred to the Company by way of a dividend in specie of £896 million
from Wolseley Group Holdings Limited. All of the above investments are in unlisted shares. Particulars of principal subsidiary undertakings are listed in Principal subsidiary undertakings and their directors of the Annual Report. The Directors believe that the carrying value of the investments is supported by their underlying net assets.
